“What’s in the box?”
Featuring an all-star cast including Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Gwynneth Paltrow, and John C. McGinley, director David Fincher’s neo-noir psychological thriller SEVEN made a serious impression as one of the biggest films of 1995, the year it was released. The unusual pairing of Morgan Freeman (as a soon-to-be retiring veteran detective) and Brad Pitt (an idealistic but short-tempered rookie) made for a believable partnership as two cops on the hunt for a serial killer with a prediliction for the seven deadly sins. Intense, suspenseful, violent and gory – SEVEN makes for perfect Friday Late Night Movie viewing. (Feel free to eat all the popcorn you can handle – greed and gluttony are encouraged for this one!)
