Since our Wednesday, May 6 double bill featuring Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO (1988) and Isao Takahata’s hauntingly beautiful GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES (1988) almost *sold out,* we decided to add more screenings of these two titles on Sunday, May 10. Even better: We’re bringing PRINCESS MONONOKE back, too. All films will be screened in the original Japanese with English subtitles.

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES (Isao Takahata, 1988 / DCP / Subtitled / 89 minutes) | A tragic film covering a young boy and his little sister’s struggle to survive in Japan during World War II.
PRINCESS MONONOKE (Hayao Miyazaki, 1997, / DCP / Subtitled / 137 minutes) | On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami’s curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.
