BOMB: A LOVE STORY is the second feature film directed by international superstar, Payman Maadi, following the success of Snow on the Pines. For this film, a romance set in the urban milieu of Tehran during the Iran-Iraq war, Maadi, who plays the lead role, has reunited with his A Separation co-star, Leila Hatami. A well-made, technically accomplished film that captures the disquieting horror of war and the tenderness of romance at its most vulnerable, Bomb has been nominated for the best screenplay prize at this year’s Asia Pacific Film Awards.
