The Rio Theatre and FAME Productions Proudly Presents Boobies for Burgundy! A Cancer Battle Fundraiser.

Burgundy Brixx has been providing musical, theatrical and cabaret-style entertainment in Vancouver, across British Columbia and beyond since 2008.

Former producer of Kitty Nights Productions – seven time winner of The Georgia Straight’s “Best of Vancouver” Award for Vancouver’s #1 Burlesque Show. Burgundy has produced, performed and sold out numerous live band burlesque tribute shows such as Queen, Bowie, Kate Bush and Pink Floyd. In February 2023, her production of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side on the Moons” sold out the Rio Theatre’s 420 seat capacity, with footage from the event being used in an upcoming documentary about the Rio.

In May of 2021, Burgundy was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. After recovering from two major surgeries in one year, instead of throwing in the towel, she decided to wave it in the air for the world to see! She produced and starred in The C-Word, a cheeky cabaret journey through her battle about the trails and tribulations of Chemo and the day-to-day fight for survival. The C-Word was awarded “Pick of the Fringe” and “The Leaping Fringer” from Leap Studios.

All performers have donated their performances for this event and all proceeds raised will be donated directly to Burgundy to help offset her costs while she recovers from her ongoing treatments.
