A native of Villaret du Nial (a small village the French Alps) Nouria began kayaking at the age of 5 on the calm Isere River. Despite spending several years primarily racing slalom (an Olympic discipline), she continued to freestyle and extreme kayak alongside her career as a top athlete and her political science studies in Toulouse. Nouria Newman travels with her kayak in search of not only white water but also human adventures: discovering new cultures, exploring, broadening her mind, sharing and meeting people across the globe.
Kayaker Nouria Newman embarks on a solo multi-day descent on the raging waters of the Indus river up in the Himalayas.
Extreme Kayak World Champion Nouria Newman joins Adventurers of the Year Ben Stookesberry and Erik Boomer on a 6-week exploration of Patagonia rivers.
NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE For high school teacher and whitewater kayaker Crista Wiles, hucking 20-foot waterfalls isn’t a big deal. But to her, pushing her sport isn’t about getting sendy and taking on bigger risks.
Aaron Howell and Russell Davies are combat veterans who were injured in war and now come together for another mission as they guide blind Navy veteran, Lonnie Bedwell, on his third trip through the Grand Canyon.
