The Irishman

Time changes nothing.

Martin Scorsese‘s epic saga of organized crime in postwar America, stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. In the 1950s, truck driver Frank Sheeran gets involved with Russell Bufalino and his Pennsylvania crime family. As Sheeran climbs the ranks to become a top hit man, he also goes to work for Jimmy Hoffa — a powerful Teamster tied to organized crime. Also starring Anna Paquin, Jessie Plemons, Ray Romano, Kathrine Narducci.

“It runs a minute shy of three and a half hours, and I wouldn’t wish it any shorter.” (New Yorker)

“It is another massive achievement for Scorsese.” (The Guardian)

“‘The Irishman'” isn’t the last word on gangsters, but this long, involving, and extremely well-made epic seems to be an appropriate capstone for Scorsese – as well as De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino – at this late stage in their careers.” (Salon.com)

“Soars with artistic brilliance on every level.” (Daily Mirror)
“I’d be hard-pressed to say that the three-plus hours of The Irishman fly by, but it’s also tough to think of a single individual scene I’d want to lose.” (Slate)
