The Gentlemen Hecklers Present: STAR TREK III The Search for Spock

A dying planet. A fight for life. The Search for Spock.

Let The Gentlemen Hecklers provide you with their unique brand of live, hilarious commentary – for the best cheesy movies! Eric Fell, Patrick Maliha and special guest star KC Novak are Vancouver’s masters of movie riffing, making so-bad-they’re-good movies even better… By talking you through them.

At the end of what many Trekkies still consider the “best” feature from the original Starship Enterprise gang, the fate of Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) was unknown – though he was presumed dead (Khaaaaaaan!). In 1984, Nimoy himself stepped behind the camera to direct the third film in the franchise, THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK. Turns out that his “consciousness” (aka “katra”) is surviving within Dr. “Bones” McCoy (DeForest Kelley) – but there’s a twist (of course!). Spock’s body and his consciousness must be reunited, or Bones’ own conscious will go… Insane. Capt. Kirk (William Shatner) must race against time, stealing the decommissioned Enterprise (naughty!) and heading back to the Genesis planet to find his bestie. Kirk’s up to the challenge! Cue the tough decisions, painful (staccato!) sacrifices, and waging a war with the Klingons (again?) in order to rescue Spock, save Bones, and keep the intergalactic gang together. With George Takei, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols, James Doohan.
