Raiders of the Lost Ark (Movie Marathon!)

Indiana Jones - the new hero from the creators of JAWS and STAR WARS.

“It’s not the years, honey, it’s the mileage.”

Join us at the Rio Theatre on Friday, June 17 for one of our forever-favourite movie marathon nights! (We’re talking about Indiana Jones, kid…)

All Indy… All. Night. Long. Steven Spielberg’s monumentally awesome action adventure trilogy* – RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK + THE TEMPLE OF DOOM + THE LAST CRUSADE = A classic night of back-to back action adventure on the big screen (and with our even bigger sound). Think Harrison Ford, snakes, whips, numerous Nazis, boulders, numerous Nazis getting punched, melty faces, beating hearts, and so much more…

Dr. Indiana Jones, a renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, is hired by the U.S. Government to find the ark of the covenant, which is believed to still hold the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, Hitler’s agents are also after the ark. Indy and his ex-flame Marion escape from various close scrapes in a quest that takes them from Nepal to Cairo. Also starring Karen Allen, John Rhys-Davies, Alfred Molina, Denholm Elliott.

*Like many of you, we’d prefer to imagine a world in which the 2008 entry THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL never happened.
