In LOGAN: NOIR, director James Mangold provides Hugh Jackman and his now iconic, 17-year long portrayal of superhero Wolverine a fitting swan song – in glorious black and white. Inspired by both the tone of Westerns of yore and the franchise’s own fans appreciation of black and white images Mangold posted during the production, LOGAN: NOIR is a fitting tribute to franchise and fans – and screening at the Rio Theatre for a final encore on Wednesday, July 19.

In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) at a remote outpost on the Mexican border. His plan to hide from the outside world gets upended when he meets a young mutant (Dafne Keen) who is very much like him. Logan must now protect the girl and battle the dark forces that want to capture her.
