Blade

Part Man. Part Vampire. All Hero.

Before there was BLACK PANTHER… There was BLADE.

Join us for a Friday Late Night Movie screening of the Marvel origin story you’ve been dying to see on the big screen… Wesley Snipe stars as Blade, a half-vampire, half-mortal man who becomes a protector of the mortal race – all while slaying evil vampires. When Blade’s mother was bitten by a vampire during pregnancy, she did not know that she gave her son a special gift while dying: All the good vampire attributes in combination with the best human skills. Blade and his mentor Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) battle an evil vampire rebel named Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff) who plans to take over the outdated vampire council, capture Blade and resurrect voracious blood god La Magra. With N’Bushe Wright, Donal Logue, Udo Kier and Traci Lords.

BLADE‘s action is fierce, plentiful, and appropriately stylish for a comic book adaptation.” (Rotten Tomatoes)

“The BLADE franchise should be every bit entrenched in the cultural conversation.” (The Daily Beast)

“Creative cinematography and non-stop, decently choreographed gratuitous violence make watching this comic-book movie entertaining. In fact, it’s arguably the best comic-book movie of the year.” (The AV Club)
