Andy Irons was the people’s hero. A legend in his own time. The three-time world surfing champion made the ocean his playground, and chased the perfect pipe on tumultuous waves. But despite his success, Andy’s personal demons ultimately led to the heartbreaking tragedy that became a part of his legacy. ANDY IRONS: KISSED BY GOD spotlights the effects of mental illness on one of the millions who struggle with the disease every day, and the necessity for an increased cultural understanding about bi-polar disorder and the cycle of self-medication.
