The Vancouver Just For Laughs Film Festival is proud to present the fourth edition of the Comedy Short Shorts competition. Comedy Short Shorts will once again shine a well-deserved spotlight on the talented filmmakers and comedians of the Pacific Northwest, as they compete for a first prize of $1000 and the chance to have their short screened at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal!
Comedy Short Shorts began as an event to bring together comedians and filmmakers that were creating short form comedic video content for internet release, and gave them a platform to view their work on the big screen in front of a live audience. In a time when so much video content is viewed on tiny screens by single viewers clicking through the never-ending scroll, Comedy Short Shorts brought people out of their homes and into the community, gathering them together in a venue where their laughter could be enjoyed in real-time by the talented filmmakers who created the work.
