The Canadian Pacific Blues Society and One Stop Rock are very pleased to
announce a double bill of two great
Canadian blues artists. From Ottawa, Sue Foley and from Vancouver, Jim
Byrnes. Both artists will be performing
with their own bands.

Sue Foley first came to Vancouver as a teenager in the late eighties with
her pink paisley Fender Telecaster. Sue
quickly became noticeable at The Yale and various other blues venues
throughout the lower mainland and around
the province. By the time she was 21 Sue Foley had moved to Austin, Texas
where she signed on with the legendary
Antones label. Along the way Sue has won a Juno in 2001 plus many Maple
Blues Awards.

Sue has recently released her 11th solo album “Ice Queen”on Stony Plain
Records with her long time friends Billy
Gibbons, Chris Layton, Jimmy Vaughan, Charlie Sexton and others.

A native of St. Louis, MO. Jim Byrnes arrived in Vancouver in the mid
seventies and like Sue quickly became a part
of the blues fabric. At that time many venues were booking local blues
artists. Whether it be as a solo artist or with
a band Jim was always at the forefront. By 1981 Byrnes had released his
first album “Burnin”. Earlier this year Jim
released his 10th album “Long Hot Summer’s Day” on Black Hen Records.
