MovieSouth Africa’s official entry into the 2016 88th Academy Awards & 73rd Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Language Film makes its return to Vancouver at the beautiful Rio theatre, following a successful run at The 34th annual Vancouver International Film Festival.

Set in Alexandra township in South Africa, Thulas will do anything to protect his sister, Zanele, after witnessing her abuse as a child. As a result, the two share a very strained relationship and when Zanele finally falls for the charms of an older man, Thulas is determined to protect his sister by putting an end to their relationship. A decision that will cost him everything and prove to his sister how much he really loves her.
