Let’s do the Time Warp… Again!
Join us as we say “Good-bye, 2022!” with our final Friday Late Night Movie of the year – one of the most notorious cult-movie experiences you can possibly have in a darkened theatre – THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.
This cult-classic rock musical has been giving absolute pleasure to adoring audiences spaced out on sensations like they’re under sedation for over four decades, and there’s absolutely no better time to see and experience this pop-culture landmark than the the way it is meant to be seen – on the big screen, in the dark, and with a raucous Rio Theatre audience who are just as into it as you are. Whether you’re a Virgin or a veteran, you’ll have a blast!
You know what’s going to make our final Friday Late Night Movie screening of 2022 even more awesome?!?! Vancouver’s fabulous Geekenders will be on-hand to host and guide all the Virgins (and veterans!) through all the do’s-and-don’ts of this monumentally experiential show.
As always, costumes and audience participation are highly encouraged! (In other words: Prizes! Here’s your chance to go all out and let your freak flag fly, people.) The ticket price includes a fun prop bag, too.
Your own props are also, of course, very welcome, but please – whatever you do – DO NOT BRING RICE!
Friday, December 30 Hosted by the Geekenders!
Doors 11:00 pm | Event 11:45 pm *Please arrive on time. Start time subject to change.

Advance tickets are strongly recommended to ensure seating.
All seating is General Admission.
Online sales for every screening automatically end one hour before any given showtime.
Minors permitted. Must be 19+ w/ID for bar service. Sorry, Rio Theatre Groupons and passes n/a for this event.
WHAT IS RUSH SEATING?
Close to showtime and subject to availability only; if we can sell you tickets because there are no-shows – we will. Priority seating is always given to ticket holders. If you want to take your chances in the rush line, we recommend getting here early. How early? Well, that’s a great question. Sorta depends on the other people willing to wait in line ahead of you. (We’d suggest at least an hour before showtime at least. Could be more. Could be less. Depends how much you want to go to the castle…)
