The Dead Don’t Die

The road to survival could be a dead end.

Returning as part of our Friday Late Night Series

American writer-director Jim Jarmusch – best known for reliable arthouse fare like DOWN BY LAW, ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE and DEAD MAN – steps away from his safe zone and into the world of the zombie comedy, assembling the most startlingly A-List cast in the history of the genre along the way. THE DEAD DON’T DIE is set in the the sleepy small town of Centerville, where something is not quite right…. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive. With Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA, Selena Gomez, Carol Kane, Austin Butler, Luka Sabbat and Tom Waits (of course!).

“Jarmusch loads his genre-tweaking experiment with so many of his A-list friends that it’s a gas just hanging out in their company.” (Entertainment Weekly)

“…animated by the same mordant humor that has become Jarmusch’s trademark since making his debut a generation ago.” (The Washington Post)

“Sharp wit and a strong cast make this a zom-com with enough brains to consume.” (Rotten Tomatoes)
