Suitable Flesh

Who do you think you are!

Successful psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby has brutally murdered her young patient Asa Waite.  Locked up in a psych ward, she recounts to her friend Dr. Daniella Upton an insane, obsessive tale of erotic attraction, out-of-body experiences, ancient curses, grisly deaths and unspeakable evil.  The things Elizabeth has felt, seen and done have destroyed her marriage, ruined her reputation, left bodies in her wake, and led her to a ‘kill or be killed’ desperation. If Daniella doesn’t believe her now, more deaths will follow, and Elizabeth will be forever lost. But who would believe such a mind-bending story? … And worse, if it is all true, who will be left to tell it?

Directed by Joe Lynch and adapted from the 1937 H.P. Lovecraft short story  “The Thing on the Doorstep,” SUITABLE FLESH stars Heather Graham, Judah Lewis, Barbara Crampton, Bruce Davison, Jonathan Schaech.

“An affectionate homage that captures the psychosexual delirium of its genre inspirations, it’s a throwback chiller steeped in blood, kink, and the terrifying thrill of violation.” (The Daily Beast)

“It’s wild. It’s weird. Joe Lynch has crafted one hell of a Lovecraftian thrill ride.” (Film Inquiry)

“Campy and creepy, Suitable Flesh delivers visceral, ’80s-inspired horror topped off by game performances from Barbara Crampton and Heather Graham.” (Rotten Tomatoes)

“… a joy to behold. And hiding under all that sex and blood, it might even have something interesting to say, too.” (Inverse)
