The Rio Theatre‘s Rio Grind Film Festival is kicking things off on Friday, November 4 with the BC Premiere of director Kōji Shiraishi‘s supernatural thriller – a match made in horror movie franchise heaven – SADAKO VS. KAYAKO. It’s THE RING vs. THE GRUDGE in the ultimate showdown (the 12th of each series!). SADAKO VS. KAYAKO is the kind of late night crossover fans have been waiting for, in which the ghostly demons of the “Ju-on” and “Ringu” series of Japanese horror films face off against each other in a fight to the bloody, evil finish.
A young girl A girl, Yūri Kurahashi, after watching a cursed videotape together with her friend in a haunted house, becomes trapped in a conflict between the two murderous ghosts: Sadako Yamamura and Kayako Saeki.
“Sadako vs. Kayako’ is all about giddy ghostly entertainment and on a purely crowd-pleasing level, it delivers the goods.” (Collider)
