Join us at the Rio Theatre on Sunday, December 9 for the Vancouver Premiere of the locally-lensed drama-thriller RABBIT – which recently took home top honours at the Edmonton International Film Festival (Best Canadian Dramatic Feature). Cast and crew will be in attendance for the screening.
From the director/writer of BECOMING REDWOOD and THE GOOD SON comes RABBIT, a meditative family drama with a little fisticuffs. Michael Kelly (Derek Hamilton, THE SHACK, OUT COLD) is a clean cut family man living in the city who receives a letter calling him back home to find his missing brother. When the trap is set by his own father (Nicholas Campbell, DAVINCI’S INQUEST, BLACK MIRROR), Michael’s long journey through an entangled family web of distrust begins. Ignoring warnings from the small towns store owner Claire (Gabrielle Rose), confronting his families nemesis (Bill Croft), and re-uniting with his ex-lover, Michael continues his walk about unearthing clues of where his brother might be, but also the dark secrets he left behind. Also starring Gabrielle Miller, Ian Tracy, Gabrielle Rose, Jennifer Copping, Johanna Marlowe and AJ Buckley.

RABBIT (Jesse James Miller, 2018 / 14 A / 90 mins) A mysterious letter forces Michael Kelly to return to his childhood home in search of his missing brother, a home he turned his back on long ago. The journey takes him into the dark depths of his family’s past, revealing secrets and putting him on a collision course with a truth that may destroy everything that he has become since escaping his domineering father all those years ago.
