Filmmaker Ti West‘s 2022 slasher hit X and its surprise origin story prequel PEARL, released that same year, amassed a major following among dedicated horror movie fans (including some guy named Martin Scorsese, who has been particular effusive in his support). The franchise concludes with the highly anticipated release of MAXXXINE, which is a direct sequel following the events of X.
