The Rio Theatre’s Friday Late Night Movie series continues on January19 with an 80’s fan-favourite that has long been on our list of audience requests, Ridley Scott‘s darkly romantic fantasy fable LEGEND.

While not recognized as a commercial triumph upon its release in 1985, the film has grown into a cult-classic thanks to Scott’s overall stunning and moody production design that brings to life a grand, gothic fairy tale world featuring unicorns, magic swamps, dwarfs and rainbows. The story follows a young, mystical forest-dweller on a quest to stop the Lord of Darkness from destroying daylight, and marrying the woman he loves. With Tim Curry, Tom Cruise, Mia Sara and Billy Barty.
