Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Buy the ticket, take the ride

Join us at the Rio Theatre on June 16 as we re-visit a title that we haven’t played in a while, despite it being one of the most requested titles we get from our audience of cinephiles, 1998’s FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS.

Only visionary director Terry Gilliam (BRAZIL, TWELVE MONKEYS) could manage to make Hunter S. Thompson’s seminally gonzo classic, a psychedelic fever dream of epic proportions about a (very) drug-fueled Vegas road trip, into one of the most memorable movies of the era. Featuring standout performances from Johnny Depp, Benicio del Toro, Tobey Maguire, Ellen Barkin, Christina Ricci, and many more.

“Bizarre, unpredictable yet strangely alluring.” (Film4)

“Visually incredible and blessed with great performances from Depp and Del Toro, this is destined for cult classic status – but the plot and symbolism are less impressive.” (Empire Magazine)
