In the Rio Theatre ongoing SUMMER MOVIE BATTLE, Team 80’s brought us the ‘Brat Pack’ while Team Y2K kicked, chopped and stunted it’s way into the new millennium with girl power, fun flicks like CHARLIE’S ANGELS.

Natalie Cook (Cameron Diaz), Dylan Sanders (Drew Barrymore), and Alex Munday (Lucy Liu) are the “Angels,” three talented, tough, attractive women who work as private investigators for an unseen millionaire named Charlie (voiced by Forsythe). Charlie uses a speaker in his offices to communicate with the Angels, and his assistant Bosley (Bill Murray) works with them directly when needed.

Armed with the latest in high-tech tools, high-performance vehicles, martial arts techniques and an array of disguises unleash their state-of-the-art skills on land, sea and air to track down a kidnapped billionaire-to-be and keep his top-secret voice-identification software out of lethal hands. They’re beautiful, they’re brilliant, and they work for Charlie. In “Charlie’s Angels,” a sexy, high-octane update of the original ’70s action-comedy TV series.
