梅的女高面临种种困难，校园环境恶劣，硬件不全，老师辞职，外界质疑，学
生基础薄弱，且背后的家庭贫困落后而又各有苦难。女高办学危机重重，一度
甚至要被合并，而张桂梅凭借着坚强的意志、过人的智慧、无私的胸怀和惊人
的毅力带着老师和学生们一步一步走出困境，让他们在自己身上找到了力量、
希望和梦想，并最终成为了照亮大山的光。

The film tells the story of the Hua Ping Girls' High School in its early days, when the principal, Zhang Guimei, led the young teachers to help the first two classes of girls from the mountains get into college and change their destiny. In three years, Zhang Guimei’s school has faced many difficulties, including a poor campus environment, inadequate hardware, teacher resignations and suspicion from the outside world. The student’s performance in the basic courses was very poor, and the obstacles that their poverty-stricken families bring to the girls.With her strong will, wisdom, selflessness and amazing perseverance, Zhang Guimei led the teachers and students out of the difficulties step by step, helping them to find strength, hope and dreams within themselves.
