Banksy Does New York

The street is at play.

Director Chris Moukarbel’s look at the sensational (not to mention notoriously mysterious) artist known around the world as Banksy and his electrifying “31 works of art in 31 days” project in New York City. The film is comprised of footage cobbled together from various sources, including material crowd-sourced from mobile phones and Banksy’s own narrative animation, resulting in a visual structure that complements one of the central conceits of both the artist’s work and the film itself; the larger questions of ownership and authorship in the era of social media.
