Alice, Darling

Sometimes the hardest thing to see is the truth.

In ALICE, DARLING, Oscarnominee Anna Kendrick (UP IN THE AIR, PITCH PERFECT) is Alice in this taut thriller about a woman pushed to the breaking point by her psychologically abusive boyfriend, Simon. While on vacation with two close girlfriends, Alice rediscovers the essence of herself and gains some muchneeded perspective. Slowly, she starts to fray the cords of codependency that bind her. But Simon’s vengeance is as inevitable as it is shattering and, once unleashed, it tests Alice’s strength, her courage, and the bonds of her deeprooted friendships.

“Kendrick’s performance is one of the strongest aspects of ‘Alice, Darling’.” (RogerEbert.com)

“It’s a believable portrayal of the impact of gaslighting and brainwashing: Alice’s conviction that she’s at fault will resonate with many audiences.” (Time Out)

“What’s impressive about this psychological thriller, the debut feature film from director Mary Nighy, is how tuned in it is to the dynamics of female friendship.” (Observer)
