A Night with Greg Sestero: Miracle Valley & The Room

From the survivor of The Room.

“Oh, hai Mark!”

Join us at the Rio Theatre with host Greg Sestero – star of the pop-culture phenomenon THE ROOM and author of the best-selling memoir, THE DISASTER ARTIST – for a full night of conversation and laughs featuring a double bill screening of both THE ROOM and an exclusive look at Greg’s latest project, MIRACLE VALLEY.

For the uninitiated: A marvel of modern cinema, Tommy Wiseau‘s THE ROOM is so powerful that it will, literally, “tear you apart.” (Or, maybe just your brain. And occasionally your eyeballs.) In the pantheon of you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it, best-worst movies, it’s quite possible that nothing tops THE ROOM. It’s the CITIZEN KANE of bad movies! And truly, truly, the best (trust!) way to experience this “masterpiece” is in the dark, on the big screen, and with a packed audience of confused (and enthused) lovers of director Wiseau’s bizarre cinematic oddity that has morphed into a pop-culture phenomenon. Having Greg Sestero (who parlayed his portrayal of “Mark” in THE ROOM into an acclaimed best-seller that was ultimately adapted into the 2017 feature, THE DISASTER ARTIST) on-hand to answer audience questions and provide unique insight makes for a very, very memorable night.

In the moody horror drama MIRACLE VALLEY, which he also wrote and stars in, Greg Sestero takes centre stage. An obsessive photographer and his girlfriend are invited to a desert getaway in search of an ultra-rare bird. Fortune, fame and mending their fading relationship takes a turn at the hands of a sinister force where they face demons from both past, present and future.

Greg will also be available for meet n’ greets, a photo-op, and book signing.

“Reminiscent of the best of 1970s horror movies.” (On Cinema)

“The movie has a nod or two to ‘The Room,’ but it’s far from that film’s so-bad-it’s-good qualities. It’s a horror film with a rich sense of atmosphere and humor that never tries too hard and, as a result, is a better film for it.” (NPR)

“Hypnotically entertaining.” (Pop Culture Junkie)

As always, expect a few surprises and of course – lots of spoons!!
