Vancouver Fringe Festival: Jan Derbyshire ‘Certified’

SQUID THINKS Productions Presents:

CERTIFIED by Jan Derbyshire

Directed by Kate Newby

VANCOUVER, BC… Join the irreverent fun in this hilarious & heart-aching romp, as comedian & certified insane person Jan Derbyshire turns the audience into a mental health review board to help determine her current state of sanity. Come humorously grapple with hefty questions like: What’s crazy? What isn’t crazy? Who decides? In this comic case, you do.

Past reviews

“Derbyshire is really something, tearing into her part like Bette Davis with Margo Channing in All About Eve. You’re not likely to forget Derbyshire’s any more than Davis’ Margo.”

Kevin Thomas – LA Times

“Jan Derbyshire is a skillful comic who can make you laugh at anything… I mean anything! We are thrown into things we know little about, fear a lot, and learn so much through the laughter and genius that is Derbyshire’s stand-up talent.”

Irish Times – May 2011
