Trevor Mills: Evidence of a Struggle Release Party

“An honest + inspiring hip-hop album that shines a light on the humanity of mental illness + on his brother’s sudden passing.”

Thurs. May 28th

Doors open at 8pm, and live performances start at 9pm sharp.

*Please Note this event is ALL AGES. +19 for bar service in restricted areas.

After years of trying to navigate the bureaucracy of Vancouver’s mental health system, Trevor’s brother took his own life. Evidence of a Struggle E.P. reveals how untreated mental health problems clot into addiction and spark into flame. It is vulnerable, nostalgic, and unapologetically raw.

This is music made by the love perfected by death, the love that dies not in the tomb. The beats crack the bone of this tragedy. The lyrics examine the marrow. Evidence of a StruggleE.P. lifts the broken pieces from his brother’s life – to form music and art work that honour his story.

**** We will have your kickstarter rewards available for pick up at the show and mail them out to anyone who is unable to attend. We are still in the process of filming the videos and hope to have at least one ready to show at the party. You all prepaid for admission so that is taken care of at the door. For everyone else: suggested donation $5(students) $10(adults). Please share this event with your friends if you think this is something they would enjoy. Several of my students will also be performing slam poetry & hip-hop at the event. Also the event is all ages, minors are welcomed 🙂 Until then Stay safe, Stay focussed & Stay tuned! Trevor Mills
