The Grames Brothers have been part of the Vancouver music scene since 1990 rocking stages at The Commodore, The Town Pump and virtually every venue in the city. Making their return for their 3rd performance at the historic Rio Theatre, the Grames Brothers make their return to thestage for the first time since the pandemic.
Featuring brothers Johannes and Panos Grames, the band is rounded out by their musical compatriots Randall Stoll on drums and (k.d. Lang, Tom Cochrane) and Billy Mendoza on bass and vocals.
Following the tradition of great rock bands like Radiohead and The Beatles the brothers find inspiration from a wild mix of genres including jazz, rock, reggae, pop, funk and psychedelic, delivering their sound with tight harmonies, poetic lyrics, and a groove-forward sensibility.
Whether on stage or in the studio, The Grames Brothers offer a sound rooted in tradition but unafraid to experiment. Their musicianship allows for exploration and improvisation, so don’t miss this show!
