Welcome to Langara’s Films Arts Festival 2024 UNLOCK THE VAULT!!

In just 8 short months, our group of 32 students have come together to create 22 amazing
short films. From the bare bones of rough drafts down to the beauty of color and sound
design, 11 of these short films are here for YOU, the audience, to judge.
Our up-and-coming filmmakers have joined forces to bring you this festival to show all of our
hard work.

We began in January of 2024 creating 3-minute short films, which took place strictly on the
Langara campus. Giving our students the challenge of creating entire worlds out of
classrooms and hallways. As we rolled into our second term, they were given the opportunity
to branch out and make the world their playground. Finding locations and bringing their
individual scripts to life in their image. Now, each team has created a 9-minute film for you to
enjoy. We hope to make you laugh, cry, and feel the joy that each of our students
poured into these films. We are so excited for you to enjoy what these amazing filmmakers
have done and look forward to seeing you there!

At the end of the show, we ask that all audience members hop on our QR code and
vote for your favorite film. The winner will receive some great prizes as well as the 2
runner-up films!

Admission to this event is free, but as seating on the main floor is assigned, we strongly recommend you reserve your seat(s) in advance. 

*All ages welcome! Must be 19+ w/ID for bar service.

*Unless otherwise noted, tickets will be available at our box office on the day of the show, prior to showtime (subject to availability). Our box office will be open 60 minutes before showtime.
*Seating for this event is GA (balcony) and Assigned (main floor). We have a small lobby, and kindly encourage patrons to arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to showtime to ensure time for entry, finding seats, and snacks at concession.
