The Rio Theatre is beyond excited to welcome beloved filmmaker and pop-culture icon John Waters on stage – live! – performing his new spoken word show, “Devil’s Advocate” on Sunday, October 29.

This brand new, fast-moving, comedic monologue about today’s despair and diseases, desires and desperations breaks through with an insane optimism that welcomes all audiences into a new dawn of depravity. He’s here to tell you how to reinvent the movie business, embrace stupidity in an intellectual way, and even go beyond the limits of sexual transgression. John Waters, the man the press has called “The People’s Pervert,” will mutate your m dness into hope and lead you to a joyous, delirious ever after.
