Geekenders Present ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ by Richard O’Brien
On June 16, 1973, director Jim Sharman debuted a musical that would warp time, space, and sweet transvestites for ever… THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Written for the stage by Richard O’Brien (who would later play Riff Raff in the sensational cult-movie adapatation, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW), the original live stage version of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is getting the Geekenders’ treatment at the Rio Theatre on Thursday, October 27 – Saturday, October 29.
As always, audience participation is encouraged! Feel free to dress in costume and bring your own props but whatever you do – DO NOT BRING RICE!!!
This deliberately kitschy, rock ‘n’ roll, gothic sci-fi parody will be more fun than you’ve ever seen it when it’s performed live, on stage, by Vancouver’s favourite nerdlesque troupe.
