Eye of the Storm XII
The Eye of the Storm A/V Club returns to the Rio Theatre for their second show of 2017!
This ongoing series – featuring an ever-revolving roster of some of Vancouver’s most talented underground artists – is a unique hybrid experience, combining live electronic/experimental/ambient/drone music with corresponding, curated film content.
Each edition of Eye of the Storm is comprised of of 15-20 minute artist showcases, with great care and attention paid to creating a cohesive environment in which to experience experimental audio and video – presented with massive theatre sound and on our glorious 60′ silver screen.
This show also features the “NINTH NODE” 3D surround sound system. An array of speakers are placed around the theare to allow the music/sounds to move around the room, creating a fully immersive and unique experience.

The End Tree
The End Tree is the collaborative songwriting project of Elliot Vaughan(Viola/Voice) and Martin Reisle (Cello/Voice). Songs for strange and beautiful margins; intense, absurd, soft, playful, intricate. Something like if Béla Bartók ran the Dirty Projectors as as string and vocal duet.
