Vancouver Pride Week is hitting the Rio Theatre on Thursday, July 31 as co-producers April O’Peel Productions and Du Jour Marketing present CIRQUE DU SLAY, a provocative and powerful night of drag, circus, comedy, and sexiness, showcasing an all-queer, all-creative cast that’ll flip your expectations upside down – and hang ’em from the ceiling.

This one-night-only event promises boundary-pushing acts from some of the most devoted and unapologetic performers in the city. From arresting aerial acrobatics to groundbreaking ground acts, this is a celebration of queer expression like no other. Expect the unexpected, and come ready to cheer, laugh, and maybe even blush.

Behind the Curtain: Two Creative Powerhouses Join Forces
Du Jour Marketing is the personal project of Tita Cupcakedujour. The former professional figure skater and pint-sized pin up, has shifted from pairs skating to pairing passions. Her unique ability to blend athletics, artistry, and community-building has taken her around the world—and now, into the heart of Vancouver’s live performance scene.

Joining her is the beloved April O’Peel, the force behind monthly burlesque revues at the Rio Theatre, known for turning every show into guaranteed good time. Her performances and productions combine top level talent and low-ball humour in equal measure. Together, these two tiny but powerful producers will bring their decades of stage experience and a shared love for fearless, inclusive art to the Rio stage for Pride 2025!
