The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) returns to the Rio Theatre from February 23 – March 4 with their Winter Series of 2025. We’re going to be screening nine shows as part of The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, including a lineup of adventure-inspiring, thought-provoking films. Watch stories of identities being carved out on the slopes, breathtaking mountain-sport achievements, and learn more about the wild spaces we’re so lucky to live and work within.

Our Stories with Impact are all varied, but all powerful.

Follow a team revisiting the remarkable life and expeditions of pioneering mountain explorer Mary Schäffer Warren; witness Scottish women retracing a Himalayan first ascent; discover a Canadian downhill racer battling illness; learn from the unexpected adventure of climbers exploring Papua New Guinea’s untouched rainforest.
