The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) returns to the Rio Theatre from February 23 – March 4 with their Winter Series of 2025. We’re going to be screening nine shows as part of The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, including a lineup of adventure-inspiring, thought-provoking films. Watch stories of identities being carved out on the slopes, breathtaking mountain-sport achievements, and learn more about the wild spaces we’re so lucky to live and work within.

Prepare to be on the edge of your seat in an afternoon filled with thrill-seeking films.

Follow a climber balancing on alpine highlines, a silks dancer scaling icy heights, a kayaker exploring glacial rivers in Svalbard, and a kiteboarder breaking barriers in Egypt. Plus, witness the story of adaptive adventurer Kelda Wood – the first para-athlete to row solo across the Atlantic – in the show’s feature film.
