Join us at the Rio Theatre for the West Coast premiere of VENUS ENVY: THE HOUSE OF VENUS STORY, with a very special Wiggle presentation to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the wearable art and drag festival.

Wiggle is an annual Wearable Art & Performance Festival celebrating the avant-garde, drag & of course the Wig! This will be a reunion of great proportions with the return of the Venus Family for a magical moment in time.

VENUS ENVY: THE HOUSE OF VENUS STORY (Michael Venus, 2023 / 79 mins / 18A) A celebration of an underground movement of love, this film tells the unique story of the multi-dimensional Canadian artist collective known as “The House of Venus”. From their humble beginnings throwing DIY theme parties and fashion shows, to their journey of creating world-renowned queer culture and community, we follow the members as they prepare for the 25th installment of their performance and wearable art festival “Wiggle”.
