“Cats come when they feel like it. Not when they’re told.”
Eric Fell, Patrick Maliha, Gina Harms and K.C. Novak are Vancouver’s masters of movie riffing, making ‘so-bad-they’re-good’ movies even better by talking you through them – providing live, hilarious commentary for the best bad movies!
On Wednesday, April 10, the Hecklers return to the Rio with a a really (really) ripe stinker pawed from the deepest, darkest depths of cinema’s veritable kitty litter box… It’s Halle Berry in CATWOMAN! 2004 was a year that saw the formidable Ms. Berry take home both an Oscar (for MONSTER’S BALL) and a Razzie for her role in this purrfect turd (me-owe!) as Patience Philips, a shy woman who can’t seem to stop apologizing for her own existence. Though she is (somehow) endowed with the speed, reflexes, and senses of a cat, Patience walks a thin line between criminal and hero, even as a detective who is fascinated by both of her personas, doggedly pursues her. With Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt, Frances Conroy, and Alex Borstein.

Over the past six years, The Gentlemen Hecklers have built up a loyal cult following in Vancouver, and recently brought their talents to a wider audience thanks to the critically acclaimed Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode “Cry Wilderness” on Netflix.

CATWOMAN (Pitof, 2004 / 104 mins / 14A) Liquidated after discovering a corporate conspiracy, mild-mannered graphic artist Patience Phillips washes up on an island, where she’s resurrected and endowed with the prowess of a cat — and she’s eager to use her new skills … as a vigilante. Before you can say “cat and mouse,” handsome gumshoe Tom Lone is on her tail.
