Blade Runner 2049

Sometimes to love someone, you got to be a stranger.

In 2017, Canadian director Denis Villeneuve unleashed one of the most anticipated sequels of all time, BLADE RUNNER 2049. Set thirty years after the events of Ridley Scott’s original BLADE RUNNER, the sequel follows a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), the former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. With Jared Leto, Robin Wright.

“From the opening aerial shots, we know we are in the presence of a masterly visual tactician and a shrewd storyteller in the director, Denis Villeneuve.” (The New York Times)

“Visually stunning and narratively satisfying, BLADE RUNNER 2049 deepens and expands its predecessor’s story while standing as an impressive filmmaking achievement in its own right.” (Rotten Tomatoes)
