Josh Fox: “How to Let Go of the World” Vancouver Film Premiere

Following its World Premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Josh Fox (GASLAND) is bringing his latest documentary HOW TO LET GO OF THE WORLD AND LOVE ALL THE THINGS CLIMATE CAN’T CHANGE to Vancouver as part of his ‘Let Go and Let Love’ tour. Fox continues to ivnestigate climate change, the greatest threat the world has ever known, in his deeply personal style. The ‘Let Go and Love’ tour’s mission is to stop the mass build out of oil and gas infrastructure and expedite the transition to renewable energy alternatives. Josh Fox will be at the Rio Theatre in person to host a Q&A after the film. Please note: This screening is a benefit for the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation Fort McMurray Fire Relief Fund.

Let Go and Love Tour: A Road to Climate Justice – More than just a film, HOW TO LET GO OF THE WORLD AND LOVE ALL THE THINGS CLIMATE CAN’T CHANGE, is intended to be a launchpad for education and action in communities. Josh Fox plans to tour the film to 100 towns and cities in the U.S. and across the world that are cited as “Hot Spots” for fossil fuel infrastructure to engage with residents in protecting their lives and land from the encroaching gas industry. With experts, artists, and concrete resources including toolkits, counterproposal support, and connections to investors to finance their counter-proposals, the ‘Let Go and Love’ tour will help communities lead a renewable energy revolution, one community at a time.

The film features climate movement leaders Bill McKibben, Tim DeChristopher and the Pacific Climate Warriors. Traveling to 12 countries on six continents, the film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks, what is so deep within us that no calamity can take it away?
