“Oh, hai Mark!”
Join us at the Rio Theatre with host Greg Sestero – immortalized as “Mark” in the pop-culture phenomenon THE ROOM and author of the best-selling memoir THE DISASTER ARTIST – for a full night of conversation, laughs, book signing, meet n’ greet and more. Featuring a double bill screening of Greg‘s latest collaboration with auteur Tommy Wiseau, BEST F(R)IENDS Volume 1 and the soon-to-be-released sequel, BEST F(R)IENDS Volume 2!
Picking up where the first volume left off, BEST F(R)IENDS: Volume 2 brings the saga to a satisfying close. Jon (Sestero) is on the run across the American Southwest, where he meets an array of wild and amazing characters and finds himself in ever-stranger situations…which go a long way in giving a better handle on the reality he’s fleeing. Of course there’s still one more encounter and one last reckoning to bring this strange journey full circle.
Building on the brilliant and indescribable energy of VOLUME 1, BEST F(R)IENDS: Volume 2 is the best of Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau distilled into pure ecstasy: charming, unexpected, dramatic, dark, and above all, endlessly entertaining (addictive). With this much-anticipated conclusion, the duo reaffirm their immense popularity once more, connecting with the audience in ways that most films will never manage. Based on a series of true-to-life anecdotes sourced from Greg and Tommy’s two decades of shared experiences, BEST F(R)IENDS is a unique two-volume cinematic saga that interweaves mystery, intrigue, and more than a few dark laughs into the long-awaited reunion of the THE ROOM‘s cult icons. Step into this surrealist tale and learn a lesson about friendship and loyalty.
As always, expect a few surprises…

“Finally, the dynamic duo that is Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero has reunited for a dream project that will send fans of The Room and The Disaster Artist into paroxyms of unabated joy once more.
A drifter (Sestero) who arrives in L.A. physically unharmed but mentally bruised; his shirt is covered in blood and he seems unable to speak. He ekes out a meager living by begging on the mean Angelino streets and slowly resigns himself to his hand to mouth predicament. An evening of work turns into a regular gig for the drifter, who finds himself warming up to this odd man with odder habits. One day he crosses paths with a peculiar mortician (Wiseau) who asks for help in exchange for money.
