The Gentlemen Hecklers Present: GHOST (1990)

“Molly, you in danger, gurl.”

Come see folks who wrote jokes for Mystery Science Theater 3000 provide live, hilarious commentary for one of the 90s biggest supernatural romantical thrillers, GHOST, starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Oscar-winner Whoopi Goldberg.

(In case you forgot: Patrick Swayze (Sam) and Demi Moore (Molly) star as a pottery-making, crazy-in-love couple whose lives get turned upside down and inside out when Sam gets unceremoniously murdered by a business associate. Fortunately, there’s this thing that Prince called “the after world,” and Sam returns to the land of the living with the help of a grumpy psychic (Whoopi Goldberg!) to right some wrongs and kick some bad-guy ass.)

Let The Gentlemen Hecklers provide you with their unique brand of live, hilarious commentary – for the best cheesy movies! Eric Fell, Patrick Maliha, and Shaun Stewart are Vancouver’s masters of movie riffing, making so-bad-they’re-good movies even better by talking you through them.

The Outsiders

“Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold” S.E. Hinton‘s landmark novel ‘The Outsiders’ celebrated 50 years of staying gold in 2017; we thought it seemed fitting to revisit this classic story – and Francis Ford Coppola’s timeless film – with a prime time screening of THE OUTSIDERS on Tuesday, June 27. Hinton co-wrote the screenplay, making for… Continue Reading

Summer is one of the best times to get out there and take in a Friday Late Night Movie, and Kathryn Bigelow‘s action-packed surfer/skydiving/undercover crime flick POINT BREAK is one of our all-time favourites – not to mention a total cult-classic that has inspired both a musical live show and a 2015 reboot (oof). But… Continue Reading
